Colossians 1:6 – For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. Revelation 4:11 – You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.
I would like you to join me today to worship and praise our Heavenly Father. Worshiping God draws Him closer to us. Our worship opens the gates of heaven that allows the blessings of God to rain down on us.
Heavenly Father, we worship you today because you are God. You are the creator of the universe; the heavens and the earth. You are the creator of nature and science. You made all things by a spoken word. You gave life to living things by just a breath. The things that you have created move, evolve, and function just as you have commanded; The seas roar and flowers blossom in worship, The birds in the air sing of your praises, the clouds move in obedience to your word, the rain falls when you command it, the sun and the moon shine as you’ve directed them.
Light was brought out of darkness at the sound of your voice. You are a powerful God. You did not seek counsel before creating the world, neither did you need anyone’s permission to create the billions of galaxies in our universe. We are in awe of you, Lord. Worthy are you, Lord to receive glory and honor and power. For all the things you have created were simply for your pleasure; the existence of humankind and the universe is for your sole pleasure and so we, one of your many creatures, take time to give you all the praise that you deserve. We worship you because you are perfect and the things you created are perfect in their own way. We worship because you desire it and have commanded it.
Father, we ask that our worship to you will go up as a sweet-smelling savor. We ask that you accept the worship we offer you which has come from our heart. Father, we ask that you continue to give us the willingness, grace and strength to please you by worshipping you all of our days. We ask that we will be reminded of your sacrificial love so that we are encouraged the more to worship you. Help us to live as those who have been saved from eternal destruction. Help us to love you with our heart, strength, soul and mind. In Jesus name we have prayed. Amen.
Romans 12:1 says, “… offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship”. I urge you to continue to worship God throughout your daily life. Make it a part of your life. Give your all to Him as He has given His all to you. I pray that you will not regret offering your worship and service to God in Jesus name. Amen!
