2026 – Year of Divine Elevation

2026 – Year of Divine Elevation

SERMON SUMMARY:

DIVINE ELEVATION THROUGH HUMILITY AND OBEDIENCE

My power is from the Almighty God.

Through all things, God proves humility and true obedience to divine purpose, and through these, He brings divine elevation.

I want us to understand—briefly but clearly—that elevation, whether spiritual or physical, is the uplifting of an individual by God. It comes through faith, humility, and obedience to divine purpose.

Before expecting elevation, there are clear spiritual principles:

  • You must walk by faith
  • You must humble yourself
  • You must be obedient, even when obedience feels uncomfortable

True humility means denying self and being willing to follow God completely. If God says sit, you sit. If He says serve, you serve. No task is too small when it is commanded by God. Humility and obedience are keys to elevation.

My prayer is that this year, the Lord will fulfill everything He has spoken concerning every one of us, in the mighty name of Jesus.

SCRIPTURE READING

2 Samuel 9:1–5 (NKJV)

Now David said, “Is there still anyone who is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him [a]kindness for Jonathan’s sake?”

And there was a servant of the house of Saul whose name was Ziba. So when they had called him to David, the king said to him, “Are you Ziba?”

He said, “At your service!”

Then the king said, “Is there not still someone of the house of Saul, to whom I may show the kindness of God?”

And Ziba said to the king, “There is still a son of Jonathan who is lame in his feet.”

So the king said to him, “Where is he?”

And Ziba said to the king, “Indeed he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lo Debar.”

Then King David sent and brought him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo Debar.

UNDERSTANDING DIVINE ELEVATION

In this passage, we see promotion, improvement, advancement—divine elevation. Mephibosheth was living in Lo-debar. Lo-debar means:

  • A place of barrenness
  • A place of loneliness
  • A forgotten place
  • A place of no future

Anyone in Lo-debar is considered forgotten. Yet the king sent for him. That is elevation—being called out of obscurity into significance.

David remembered his covenant with Jonathan and asked, “Is there anyone left?” And though Mephibosheth was hidden, forgotten, and broken, the king called for him.

I declare today: someone under the sound of my voice is about to receive a divine invitation. Where you are right now does not limit what God is about to do.

FROM LO-DEBAR TO THE PALACE

Mephibosheth was taken from a lonely place and brought into the palace. That is upliftment. That is promotion. That is divine relocation.

God does not look at your condition—He looks at His covenant. Just as Joseph was lifted from prison to palace…

Just as Mordecai was lifted from obscurity to honor… So shall God lift you.

I decree: Your location will change. Your status will change. Your story will change.

DIVINE RESTORATION

2 Samuel 9:9 (NKJV): “… I have given to your master’s son all that belonged to Saul and to all his house.”

This is restoration.

Everything Mephibosheth lost—everything that belonged to his father and grandfather—was restored to him.

I declare today:

  • Whatever the enemy has stolen from you
  • Whatever was lost due to delay, fear, or attack

God is restoring it—double and triple—in the name of Jesus.

KEYS TO DIVINE PROMOTION

  1. Put God first
  2. Serve Him with all your heart
  3. Walk in humility
  4. Live a life of obedience
  5. Be diligent and excellent
  6. Live a holy life
  7. Trust God completely

The Bible says: “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”

PRAYER FOR DIVINE ELEVATION

Lord, the same power that lifted Joseph from prison to palace— Let it lift me today.

The same power that brought Mephibosheth out of Lo-debar— Remember me for promotion.

Lift my head, O God. Change my status. Restore what I have lost.

Surprise me with divine visitation. Move me from minimum to maximum. From obscurity to honor. From limitation to expansion. Let my mouth be filled with praise this year, in the name of Jesus.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

By the authority of the King of Kings:

  • Every divine plan for your life shall come to pass
  • Every delayed blessing is released
  • Every stolen blessing is restored
  • Your elevation is permanent

This year shall be known as your year of divine elevation. In Jesus’ victorious name we pray.

Amen.
