Let me be straightforward with you; with Jesus in your boat, you will make it to the other side. Irrespective of the storms of life you are facing, know that Jesus will see you through. I am not naïve. I know there are some storms that will make you fear for your life. I have experienced such storms and I am sure you have too. As you read these words some of us are experiencing storms of various kinds. However, keep in mind God never fails. When he promises, he delivers.
Do not take my words for it. Look at the book of Mark 4:35-40. “And the same day, when even(evening) was come, he saith unto them, let us pass over unto the other side………..” In verse 36 you would read that Jesus sent the multitude away and instructed the disciples to pass over to the other side. Keep in mind that Jesus had been preaching all day and when he got in the boat, he was tired and fell asleep. The bible recorded in verse 37 that a storm arose, so severe that the disciples began to fear for their lives.
Are you facing a storm in your finances, in your marriage, in your career, in the life of loved ones or in your health? REMEMBER who instructed you to get in the boat in the first place. He is the only one who can help when the storms beat against the boat of your life. The bible said the disciples were terrified. So, it is okay to be terrified. However, remember that Jesus is asleep in your boat. Acknowledging his supremacy will wake him up in your life and Jesus will keep his promise of taking you to the other side. I urge you to acknowledge the supremacy of Jesus now and he will keep his promise to take you to the other side.
The bible said when the disciples cried out to him, he awoke and rebuked the wind, demanded the sea to be peaceful and calmness was restored. Is there a storm in your family? My word to you is believe. Acts 16:31. Today I am asking you to trust God and you will make it calmly to the other side.
Prayer: Father, help me to believe that you are capable of taking me to the other side. Give me grace to humble myself and acknowledge your supremacy so that calmness will be restored in my life.
