Christmas – The Gift of Giving

Isaiah 7:14, “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign, Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”

Isaiah 9:6, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

Matthew 1:23, “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”

John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Throughout the scriptures, it is seen that God lavished us with his manifold gifts and most especially, He gave himself to us – the only begotten son of God.

If we do not see God in Christmas, then our celebration amounts to nothing.

If we do not see Christ in Christmas, then our joy is not complete.

If we do not admire, cherish, and willingly accept the gift of God as Christ given to us to be the savior of the world, then we might likely regret being born.

But today, as you and I are celebrating Christmas, let us ponder and embrace the gift of God given to us. Let us accept the gift of salvation in Christ, with enthusiasm and fervent love for the One who loved us, died for us, and gifted us with salvation, sanctification, and justification, and then delivered us from condemnation.

My prayer for you during this Christmas season is that you will hold tenaciously to the giver of life, so that He will find you worthy enough to enter into His kingdom, in Jesus Christ Mighty and Powerful Name. Amen

Merry Christmas!

What a wonderful message. God sacrificed his only son to purge and cleanse all our sins away. We are grateful and blessed that his love is everlasting. Merry Christmas!
