Trust His Promises

Our Abba Father is faithful and He is trustworthy. Numbers 23:19 says, “God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” It is man who makes a promise and then defy it, but the Lord will not make a promise of what He will not do. His promises may seem delayed in our eyes but they are definitely not denied. God has not promised that this world will be a place full of bed of roses. Jesus said, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

The following are God’s promises for you, regardless of your situation:

“He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength” (Isaiah 40:29).

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31).

“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” (Isaiah 43:2).

God spoke in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Deuteronomy 31:8 says, “The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

“Do not let this book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” (Joshua 1:8).

I am excited to say, “The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.” God’s promises are your heritage. I will conclude by saying: “For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.”

Prayer: Thank you Lord for your promises concerning me. I know that these promises will come to pass as I continue in obedience to you. Thank you for making your promises for me my heritage. I bless your Holy name. Amen.
