Where Are You?

God created a perfect being and put them in a garden, a place of peace, comfort, and security where the Lord God comes often to have fellowship in the cool of the day with Adam and Eve. God gave them rules and regulations that would guide them, unfortunately, the rules were broken.
After sinning, Adam and Eve felt guilty and this made them try to hide from God when he came, as usual, to have fellowship with them. The Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” (Genesis 3:8)
Do you know that God is equally asking you just as he asked Adam and Eve, saying, where are you? The disobedience of Adam and Eve broke their fellowship with the Almighty God. So also when you have committed sin, this breaks your relationship with God and there is no way you can hide yourself from the all-seeing, all-knowing, all-wise and all-powerful God. Adam and Eve thought they can hide, likewise, we do the same, acting as though God does not know where we are or know what we do. Sometimes we have the illusion that freedom is doing anything we want. But God says that true freedom comes from obedience and knowing what not to do. The restrictions he gives us are for our good, helping us to avoid evil.
Listen to what Jesus says, “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:3). Sin kills, sends to hellfire and causes eternal separation from God. Stop sinning, stop hiding from God. Have the courage to share all you do and think with him. Do not allow the Devil to deceive you by thinking true freedom is you being good, being great and always doing right. Self exaltation and self righteousness lead to rebellion against God. As soon as you begin to leave God out of your plans, you are placing yourself above him.
Today is the right time for you to turn away from your hide-out, excuses, self righteousness, self holiness, self justification and turn to God for cleansing. He will have mercy and freely pardon you. Believing and receiving Jesus Christ into your life is a pathway to a glorious and abundant life.
Stop playing games with your God; Stop hiding your desires, ambitions, material possession and your life from him. For anyone that play games with God, obviously, he or she will be a loser. One thing you will eternally regret of is the failure to give your life to Jesus. Are you ready to unfold yourself?
Pray this prayer: Oh Lord, I am sorry for hiding, I surrender all to you. Forgive me of my sins. Your will be done in my life in Jesus name, Amen.
