The scripture says: “Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.” 1 Tim 6:17-19
Be careful not to put your hope in money. Instead, put your hope on the living God for your security. Even if you don’t have material wealth, you can still be rich in good deeds. No matter how poor you are, there is something you can still share with someone. So, live your life with open hands by giving freely. Have a spirit that cheerfully gives. God continues to replenish your resources and it cannot be exhausted as long as you continue to give. God always refills so you do not run out. Real giving is loosening your grip on what you have and giving them to others. We can and should always trust God to meet our needs.
